About this speaker
Ben Keegan has been the Chief Executive of Roundabout, South Yorkshire's youth homeless charity, since 2005. Under his leadership, the organisation has experienced substantial growth and expansion, both in terms of its capacity to support young people and its range of services.
Roundabout has been working directly with 16 and 17 year olds in Care since 2010 and now supports over 50 young people at any one time that meet the new criteria for OFSTED inspections.
Ben’s commitment to improving the lives of young people facing homelessness, has led to the development of many new programmes and initiatives aimed at addressing the root causes of youth homelessness and providing sustainable solutions.
Ben opened Roundabout Homeless Prevention Service in 2014. This project encompasses a range of vital services, including Drop-In Advice, Mediation, Education, employment and skills support, Counselling, Future Builders projects, and a pioneering Peer Education programme.
