About this speaker
Matthew is one of His Majesty’s Inspectors (HMI) and is Ofsted’s specialist adviser for looked after children. He is based in Ofsted’s social care policy team and has led Ofsted’s work to arrangements to regulate and inspect supported accommodation for looked after children and care leavers aged 16 and 17.
Matthew is a registered social worker and, before joining Ofsted, spent more than 20 years as a social worker and manager in local authority children’s services.
